PROFESSIONAL THEATRE WORK

1996-2000 Performer with First Cut Theatre company in the following productions:

1996: 'THE WORD CATCHER', in the title role as a magician/conjurer with words. A T.I.E project for


 8-11 year olds touring schools, festivals and arts centres in the South West.

1997: 'TRAFFIC ACT' in the role of Traffic Master in a T.I.E performance touring primary schools.

1998 'TIDELINES' a dance/theatre performance based on Selkie stories, playing the role of the


 seal-girl.

1999: 'SYRENS' a pilgrim character created for Sustrans opening of the Wells cycle path.

2000 'HAGADORN'a 'green man' character created to perform the opening ceremony for


 
Frome's Millenium Green.


1989-90 Performer with Gog Theatre Company in:

'BIRDMAN', an ensemble, devised production with music and dance, touring Georgia (ex USSR),


 England and France.

1984-87 Performer with Kneehigh Theatre company in

1984 'THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF THE THREE MUSKETEERS' playing the roles of


 Princess Fleurelle and the Hag, touring the South West.

1985 'THE STORY OF JAN TREGEAGLE', and TRELUMPKIN & TREBUMPKIN. T.I.E 



performances touring primary schools in Cornwall.

1986 'TREGEAGLE' company devised production touring theatres in U.K and at the Theatre


 Workshop at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. 

1987 'FOOLS PARADISE', production based on the life of the French mime artist Debureau;


 touring theatres in U.K., Channel Islands and France.

  1983-5 Cafe-theatre cabaret show touring Cornwall and Devon. 

  Instant Theatre and improvised performances with Theatre Alliance.

  1999-00 Workshops in primary schools for Take Art!, Somersets' rural Arts agency.

  Creative Dance classes for children (3-7) in Frome.

  1997- Artistic Director Merlin Theatre Drama Clubs (7-11)

  1996-8 Artistic Director Merlin Youth Theatre (11-16)

  1996 Songs of the Stones. Workshops in Schools (7-16yrs) leading to a performance in



 Fromes' amphitheatre, filmed for Channel 4 schools programme.

  Regular drama classes with a group of adults with learning difficulties. (Community Education.)

  1995 Creative Movement course for mixed ability adult group at the Merlin Theatre

  1994 Workshops leading to a procession and performance for Fromes' street Fayre

  1992 Masquerade a project with Portugal. Creative arts workshops in schools and a visit to


 Santarem, Portugal to exchange ideas for collaboration. 

  Artistic director Eurofest. Workshops in creative drama, image making & masks for a celebration


 
with over 100 children from Europe.

  1991 For Frome Schools Reminiscence Project; creative arts workshops in schools and

 with elderly  people leading to a theatre performance.

  For Action on Disability and Development in Calcutta, India, creative arts activities with a group of


 deaf women in a centre for destitute women.

  1990-91 For Frome Community Play Project, workshops for adults and children in maskmaking



 and creating mask characters, improvisation, street theatre, lantern making.

  1989-90 For the Merlin Theatre, multi media arts courses (for 7-11yrs).

  1988 Drama workshops with people with learning difficulties at the Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton.

  1984-87 Workshop leader with Kneehigh Theatre in conjunction with national tours.
